Faith is our sable colored AKC registered Havanese that was born on October 13, 2011. Her parents are Northstar Bella Dulce Liliana and Starborn Bella Dulce Rey Juan Pequeno. She is a special girl! She was our special puppy from the first moment we held her while at the vet's office. She was one in a litter of six where the first puppy got stuck due to positioning and we lost half of that litter. It was our first loss as breeders and we were devastated to lose puppies.
Faith most resembles her mother, Lili. Although Faith is fully health tested with CERF, cardiac, patellas, and hips, we thought that we would not breed her due to not wanting to risk anything happening to our 'Faithy girl'.
This breeding was purposely done with one of our favorite studs, Posh in hope of producing a potential second stud for our household. We have high hopes for the beautiful litter of puppies!
Faith & Posh's son, Noble will remain with us.

Faith's mother, Liliana. Lili is the maternal grandmother of these puppies.
Posh, the sire of this litter of puppies.
Faith had three female puppies: one sable Irish Pied and two solid black colored puppies,
Faith had one sable colored male puppy.
Faith and Posh's puppies are two weeks old. Faith is being a wonderful 'first time' mom with her puppies. Faith is a very sweet, mild mannered, snuggly, and affectionate dog that enjoys being in the middle of all of the activity in our household. Faith is staying with Chloe and Paige in the whelping room, and Chloe checks in on the puppies often. The puppies have all opened their eyes, toddle, but spend most of their time nursing.
Although completely unnecessary in our household since it is quite busy, active, and loud, we have begun playing music for the puppies as their eyes and ears are opening. We are playing "A Child's Celebration of the World' and classical music. We will include other sounds as the week progresses.
Faith's puppies, along with Chloe and Paige's puppies will be exposed to our farm animals that display fondness of 'baby' animals. Although Marli and Sivas are fierce in protecting our livestock, they are abundantly loving with our family, adult dogs, and any puppy. Pink, our Dexter cow enjoys sniffing the babies when they are able to visit her outside. The Obehasli goats show curiosity with any new animal.
We have begun preparing the barn with small, safe agility equipment and courses for the puppies when they are old enough to begin 'Puppy Preschool'.

The puppies huddle into a group to sleep together. They have a thin warming mat under the fleece bedding in their Jonart whelping box.
Patience is a sable Irish Pied female. She looked jet black when she was first born, but shortly after her birth, we could see the gold coloring under the black colored fur. We look forward to seeing her coloring change over time.
Hope is a solid black colored female puppy.
Grace is a solid black colored female puppy.
Noble is a sable colored male puppy.
Faith continues to be a wonderful 'first time' mom. The puppies are four weeks old. They spend the day in the family room with Chloe's litter, Paige's puppy Pearl, our adult dogs, and our children. They also have the company of some 'guinea chicks' that are in a warming box nearby. The guineas make peeping sounds throughout the day. They also listen to the Suzuki violin series, classical music, and a 'Puppy Sounds' CD.
Patience explores the blanket with items on it for Chloe's birthday celebration.

Noble
The pups are six weeks old. They spend the day in the family room with our children that are home schooled and our adult dogs. All the adult dogs visit the pups often in the family room. The puppies have started going into the kitchen and deck where they are able to interact with all the adult dogs. The pups have started eating homemade food, but they still prefer nursing. They are all doing beautifully with using the Potty Park and Ugo Dog.
Patience watches as she takes a break in the play tunnel.
Hope didn't stay still for a picture because she kept running to us. As I tickled her, she rolled, wiggled, licked and seemed to be having so much fun that we snapped a picture of her at that time.

Lili watches over the puppies. They frequently test her patience. Noble takes a quick break behind the step stool.
Noble snuggles on Bethany's lap.
Noble fell asleep in Megan's arms after playing with the other puppies. He was in such a deep sleep that he didn't wake when she got up to put him in his bed.
The pups are eight weeks old. They eat well, are very reliable with the potty, and love to play with the 'big' dogs. Faith continues to be a wonderful mother to the pups. She spends a lot of time with them and still allows them to nurse on occassion. They all have at least a few teeth. They love to play on agility equipment. They all like toys and run after squeeky, rolling balls. They have been a true joy for us!
